About this product

Product Information

In this textbook, the authors show that a few fundamental principles can provide an understanding of all modes of aircraft and spacecraft propulsion. The book also demonstrates how these fundamental principles can lead directly to useful quantitative assessments of performance as well as possibilities for improvement.

  • This is a Must-Have for any Aerospace Engineer.

I used this textbook in an Aerospace Propulsion course at an ABET Accredited University, and I was quite pleased with it. Although a bit dated, it has all you need to know for an introductory propulsion course. We focused mainly on the Ideal and Real Turbojet/Turbofan engine equations in the course, and the notation Hill and Peterson use is easy to pick up on as you work your way through the engines. The only area of improvement may be the Rocket equations chapters. I understand that this is a pretty introductory text, but a little more information on the construction and use of SRMs would have been helpful. Overall, this is a must have for any Aero/MechE majors who are in the Jet Engine or Rocket fields. I would have kept my copy, but times are tough and a little extra cash wouldn't ...

  • they are ok

I bought a book from this seller. I bought because they are top seller. The book is in good condition well packed. They packed with vacuum. This is very intersting. But they forgot to give me a tracking number.

  • Mediocre Propulsion Textbook

Outdated textbook, does not present as clearly as any of Anderson's texts. Not sure why university still uses it.
