Great TV Series, Disappointing Book
I saw the Masterpiece Paradise series first and enjoyed it so much that I bought Emile Zola's original book to accompany my DVDs.. I found the book boring and quite different from the screen version. The book was a disappointing let down although I generally love classical literature. Do not bother buying the book. Second season not so good
The first season of The Paradise was quite interesting and the characters were engaging. However, the second season didn't hold to the same standard.
