    Another fine collection of timeless songs

    In 1970, following his triumphant return to the live concert stage, Elvis Presley became a bona-fide superstar all over again. That summer, RCA released a mammoth 4-disc LP boxed set titled "Worldwide 50 Gold Award Hits, Volume 1". It included 50 of his greatest hits all brought together for the very first time. The next year in 1971, there was a sequel album issued, again as a 4-disc LP set. This one was titled "The Other Sides - Worldwide Gold Award Hits, Volume 2". Unlike the previous album, this set featured 50 recordings that were presented in non-chronological order. This made the listening experience for this set even that more enjoyable. For the 1996 CD reissue, RCA placed the same songs in the proper order of release. Starting with "My Baby Left Me" and going through to "I Really ...
