Handy for Trout Drift Boats!
Most fiberglass trout drift boats have no reinforced gunnel to attach standard rod holder brackets but do have a 7/8 or 1" handrail down both sides of the boat. This bracket is easy to install and works fairly well. It does seem to run out of tightening room with the set screw allowing the bracket to slip slightly under heavier rod pull. Thus is why I rated it a 4 instead of a 5. I took the brackets off and added a couple of raps of sticky duct tape to the handrails then reinstalled the brackets. That fixed the slipping issue.
