I liked it enough to buy a 2nd one
Read a lot of reviews before choosing to buy this model. My biggest criterion in printers is individual color ink tanks. Just can't see throwing out a tank that still contains blue and yellow, but the red is gone! Purchased our first HP OfficeJet 6000 from an office supply store over a year ago and it would still be providing excellent service if it hadn't dropped on the floor (long story). I spend the extra on the larger ink tanks and I'm satisfied with tank life. (I might go the cheaper, refillable tank route, except I had a bad experience in the past and am not willing to try that again.) MY only complaint about this machine is that if the output tray gets bumped (and it does frequently where I have to locate the printer), it VERY NOISILY drops from the up ... Nice inexpensive printer
I've been using it for a couple of weeks & almost everything about it is good: setting up, connecting, installing the software all this maybe took 15 mins & that was at a slow pace. There is no "real" manual(not sure if it's supposed to come with one). The only "hard" part is getting the seal caps off the ink cartridges--someone elderly or with arthritus would need some help. One good thing about the color ones is each color comes in a separate cartridge so you only have to replace a single color at a time which should save in the long run. All b/w & color items print very well. It's no wireless nor is it a laser but for my use(printing a few copies at a time & never need to be in a different room) it serves its purpose well. The only "bad" things & this keeps my rating from being ... These are very minor in my mind as I'm quite happy with my purchase. Now I just only need to dread the next time I have to replace ink cartridges.

so far print quality good, got great price. Only thing am concerned about is that all of my hp printers in the past have had the print head as part of the ink cartrage. Everytime you buy a ink cartrage you get a freash new print head keeping the print quality high but the cost of ink cartrages high also. This unit has the print head as a seperate part from the ink cartage. I am replacing a kodac printer that was set up the same way because the print quality went way down after about 8 months. Hope that doesn't happen on the new hp, time will tell.so far print quality good, got great price. HP OfficeJet 6000 meets and exceeds!
We purchased the HP OfficeJet 6000 as a back up. We already own the OfficeJet6000 and were having trouble with it printing and thought it may be the printjets. We had just purchased new ink and needed another printer to fit those cartridges. We do alot of printing and this printer has outlasted others we have purchased. After ordering this one, we did a little maintenance by cleaning and blowing out the jets and cleaning the waste well and "voila", the old printed started printing again. With a little effort the old one is still being used and the new one is on stand-by.We purchased the HP OfficeJet 6000 as a back up.
