The eBay description was slightly misleading. It stated that the engine was drained of oil but the shipping box was soaked at the bottom. I believe it has a bad oil pan seal and further investigation is necessary. Apparently, the engine was left outside because the ignition coil and flywheel magnets were very rusty. This unit was not inspected before being shipped. I understood that it was used before I purchased it; however, I should have reached out to the seller beforehand.

You get what you pay for. The saw was fairly cheap at $50 (including shipping). Unfortunately, the saw was packed with no packing/padding at all and the box was undersized (i.e., the top handle was taller than the box making a hump above the box top). The the shipper must have thrown it around to the point where the back handle punched through the box side (no damage beyond a few paint scrapes thankfully). I sent two offers, seller never responded, so I bit the bullet (bought it).
