Granted, I can't say about the longevity (since I only got it recently) ... but with the money saved, I bought the 5 year Geek Squad plan. And it's stil a total out-of-pocket expense that's below a Samsung or LG. It may be a little slower to boot on - but what does that really matter? +++++
