    Good recorder to record over the air video or copy DVDs.

    I bought this as a back-up to my original recorder. Use it almost daily. Love the fact that you can play DVDs at slower or faster speed. Quality unit well worth the money.

    Beaking Away from the Constraints of Cable

    We decided to kick the cable habit and make the switch back to OTA Television. My research pointed me to the Toshiba DR650 DVD recorder. Upon arrival, I immediately hooked it up - and much to my surprise the channel scan (which granted was slow) immediately found every local channel I had hoped for - and then some! An excellent digital tuner ~ especially if, like me, you somehow managed to purchase an HDTV without a built in tuner. Within the first week of use - we also tested the recording capabilities of the DVD recorder. It was as simple as any VCR (if not easier even) to program the recording time, channel, & quality. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in need of a DTV tuner and/or a DVD recorder.

    This Message is a very good recorder

    This Machine is living up to it's name. Toshiba has made a very good recorder. It has a lot of good quality's for a first time user and also great for the advanced user. The DVD's that are recored are great quality and can be played on any DVD player. I recommend this player for anyone. And the price is great for anyone on that electronic budget.

    Works well except for reset needed at one time

    Like the HDMI interface. Like the conversion from old video signals to HDMI for HDTV. Works well with erasable DVD but take a while to format. Had to reset unit once when it became unresponsive to remote or any of the panel buttons. It required more than five minutes with power off to reset. Auto clock setting seem not to work now that TV transmissions are HD.

    Toshiba DR560 DVD Recorder

    Great performance! Sleek design and easy to use. Does as advertised. LCD display window is small, but other features make up for it. HDMI input works great to. I highly recommend this DVD Recorder/Player.
