It's like Wedge, but easier to carry
After carrying the bigger brother of this light for almost a year as my EDC light, I have to say that although the Wedge XT isn't as powerful, the reduced length, and tail cap switch make a seemingly disproportionate improvement in carry comfort. I also like the continuity of training in keeping with a tail cap activation as it mimics my duty lights. Less to remember is better when under stress! The beam quality is not as good as lights with larger reflectors, but what you gain carrying ease seems worth the trade off. Is it ideal for fighting? Likely not, but it is certainly sufficient with the tail cap activation, and brightness. You're carrying it for EDC, not EOTW (end of the world).
