    Not action packed but still very interesting.

    If you're looking for an action-packed book, this may not be the one for you. If you are interested in the history of Delta Force and what it takes to become a member, I can't imagine that you can find a bettter book anywhere. I found every page to be very interesting. I will choose a book like this over fiction any day. Oh, and there is some pretty good action before you get to the end of the book. I believe that Eric Haney has another book and I plan to read it.

    Interesting Military Read!

    This book was recommended to me by a friend who served in the Army. This is such an interesting military story, even to a civilian like myself. The author explains details and internal information so I was able to follow the events easily. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested and/or curious about the inner workings of the military.

    Tells you exactly what its like!

    Eric Haney does an incredible job in this book of bringing you there and filling you in on all the details of the training and operations of an elite unit Delta Force. He gives you the necassary background and history of Delta Force and himself. Throughout the book he tells true stories of what it was like in different historical events from the veiw of an operative. From Beirut to Panama to different hostage situations he tells the plan and the execution of different situations. He also begins by telling what the training and requirements were like. Just an incredible feat to be such an elite member. Highly recommend this book to any one involved in or curious about our elite operations forces!

    Eye opening military story

    This is not the kind of book I normally read but started it while visiting a military family. I was halfway through when I had to return home and couldn't take their book so I had to buy my own. The training involved for anyone to be selected for Delta force is amazing, to say the least, and the risks involved are way beyond my comprehension. I was a military wife for 23 years and had no idea such an organization existed nor how dangerous it was for those chosen. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about the most elite, most dangerous outfit in all the military organizations. It will be a major eye opener!

    I couldn’t put it fown

    I read 100 pages the first day. Incredible book about America’s top counter terrorist unit in its infancy. You won’t be able to put it down.
