    Motobatt Battery for BMW K 1600

    I researched extensively for an aftermarket battery alternative for the K 1600. I was more interested in the specifications and the Motobatt battery couldn’t be beat based on other battery comparisons. The K 16000 has six cylinders and boat loads of accessories. The MB51814 12V, 22Amp, @ 260 CCA does the job! Installed it with no issues. It comes with all the necessary hardware to connect the cables to the side post (Positive) and the top (negative). Starts the first time, every time. I purchased the Motobatt charger in addition with the battery. On the newer BMW models, ensure that the bike is running with charger connected for at least 15 seconds before turning it off. The Motobatt battery is an Excellent replacement for the stock K 1600 battery and I highly recommend this product.

    Very good battery for small install area

    Pro: Have needed to find this battery for the last 14 years. Now that I have it, there will be nothing but this battery for my special purpose need. Strong enough, lasting, and will fit into my limited space. Con: The electrical posts were a issue to figure out correctly for my special use but in the long term will work. Wish it came in the choice of color BLACK instead of bright yellow only. Someone in the marketing department must have come up with the "look at me" bright yellow only idea. Just one more thing to do, I painted it black.

    Good value!

    Performs very well. Only disappointment were the cheap terminal attachment brackets. They are a tiny formed brass clips with tiny attachment screws. I was always worried about how much to tighten the screws without stripping the threads. Attachment brackets should be more substantial!

    Disappointed in this product

    When the battery arrived it was almost dead. Even after I put it on the trickle charger for two days it barely turned over the motorcycle engine. The instruction said just instal the Battery and your ready to go. I would not recommend this product.😝

    My previous Motobatt battery lasted 4 years a good average lifespan for a battery. Using it for a 07 BMW k1200LT a perfect fit.
