    Great idea, but getting a cat to use it...

    Excellent quality, easy to assemble and a well thought out design. The double doors, the weight activated heating pad, even the small hole for the cord to pass through are evidence of the quality and craftsmanship invested in the product. But none of that matters if I can't coaxed my cats into it. I tried every trick to get them used to it with no progress made after 3 months. Oh well. I recommend it if u think ur pets won't be scared of it.

    Not for outdoor use

    This is only good for an indoor area like a garage, mudroom or porch. Definitely not to be used outdoors 'in the elements'. It is not structurally strong enough to hold up in rain, snow or even wind. The heated pad is more a warmed pad-again only sufficient in an enclosed area. I've tucked mine into a corner of the screened porch & it is purrfect for keeping my barn/sometime house cat warm, dry & safe. It was easy enough to put together & included everything it should have!

    Pretty flimsy for a cat with claws

    Although I realize technology has come a long way especially and using tent material worthy of Mount Everest I also know that flimsy material that uses velcro to fasten the pieces together and you're buying it for a kitten who has claws and is Farrell that might not be such a great idea the two door Escape thing is not a great idea because you can't seal the cold out well enough. That little flap is not going to stay closed on either end unless I put the cat house on my carport with the back completely against the wall no and voiding that second Escape Route. I don't know how she's going to take to it but I know her little claws get sharpened everyday and this material is thin!

    Keeps warm

    I love it easy to put together, but getting the cat to use it is not good. Out of 3 strays outside none of them will use it. I even cut the plastic door in strips, tried catnip and food. none of them will enter. If they used it it is clean, warm and great.

    yes this is a worthwhile shelter

    easy to put together, sturdy, well designed and made. Escape door at back is very important for the cat's security, Only small problem is getting the cat to realize it will warm up after they have their weight on the heating pad for a while. Really good protective product
