A Cross Between Albums Creates A Better Sound
The first thing I noticed when I listened to this album was that the songs were faster, heavier and a lot more like the original album than previous ones. Papa Roach's last album definitely seemed toned down and a little more pop-friendly in regards to the manner in which each song carried itself. This time around, it's as if they took the singing, choruses and melodies they were able to develop from their second and third albums and blend it with the harshness, sharpness, metal and screaming of the first album. By blending this different styles and incorporating it into one album, Papa Roach finds themselves with a much better sound than they've had. There is still some lighter tracks that will most likely found themselves on the radio and tv, but the majority of the tracks are in your ... A must have for Papa Roach fans
I am a huge Papa Roach fan and have seen them so many time live that I have lost count. This is by far my most favorite CD - in fact it's the 3rd one I purchased because I've worn the other 2 out. Usually you get one or two great songs on a cd, but on this one each and every song can hold it's own as evidenced by the set list at a Papa Roach concert. Songs range from hard-hitting vintage Papa Roach to melodic love songs (Forever). This Cd by Papa Roach has got to be one of the better ones. I would rank this Number 2 after Infest. Although the sound of infest is way different from Paramour Sessions it is not as mellow and mainstream sounding as Getting Away With Murder. This Cd uses a wider range of sounds, from acoustic guitars in a Spanish style to something resembling Muse only heavier it is a CD to be heard. Not to mention that the song Forever Rocks. Definably one of their better albums. A Must.This Cd by Papa Roach has got to be one of the better ones. I would rank this Number 2 after Infest. Awesome Group , Awesome C D
This CD is fantastic...another one I have worn out. I didn't realize what a gem Papa Roach was until I saw them in concert. I originally went to see Hinder who was on the tour also, but Papa Roach was the barn burner. They absolutely blew me away. Their songs make you want to get up and dance and Roses On My Grave just makes you emotional...it was such a surprise and I loved it.
