Right out of the box this scanner is amazing!
Right out of the box the Epson V750 Pro is an amazing scanner. I recently purchased the 750 and have scanned approximately 20 images on a Mac Pro including 120 color negative/ 120 black and white negative/ 120 transparency/ 4x5 color negative/ 35mm transparency. The Silverfast AI software that comes bundled with it is amazing as well. I have tried 3 other scanners in the mid $200 range including another Epson and two HP's and there is absolutely no comparison. The shadow detail with the 750 is amazing, with the other scanners even with serious tweaking I was unable to render much detail in shadows in try after try. In the very first run with the 750 I had all the shadow detail I wanted and the tonal range on the black and white was exactly what I have been looking for. I have not tried out ... Right out of the box the Epson V750 Pro is an amazing scanner. Epic Scanner
I was advised by a good friend to not get the 850 and to save money with the 750. So glad I did. This thing is a BEAST!!!!! It makes my film look like FILM. Doesn’t give that digital look some scans can do. I have tons of polaroids that need scanning. The quality and resolution is amazing. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to get a scan big enough for the prints I want to do. Nope! Upon maxing our resolution I quickly found that I could get it to a 78” (long end) at 300dpi!!!! This is a great scanner. Great for those enthusiats or professionals whom want to digitalize its slides and negatives films. Of course, if you want to achieve the maximum scanning quality you should purchase the "Mounting Fluid". This scanner is not as sharp as a Nikon or even less a Hasselblad barrel scanner; however, the results are most than satisfactory for a flat-bed scanner and for just a fraction of the cost. This is an expensive scanner for an amateur, but a great option for a professional. Please, note that a Nikon scanner may cost over $7,000 and a Hasselblad $20,000. This Epson scannner round arround 700/800 U.S Dolars. Some aberrations or image artifacts may be solved with a standard Image Edition Software. In resume: I'm very satisfied with this Scanner!This is a great scanner. Great for those enthusiats or professionals whom want to digitalize its slides and negatives films. After considerable study on this size Professional Scanner, I decided on the Epson V750M because of their availability on issues and problems via the phone. This Vendor was by far the cheapest and best. Shipment was immediate after payment and communication was great. The two being considered were the Microtec and the Epson. Both had great software included but the deciding factor was all the complaints on Microtec Support.
