    I first read this book in the fifties and bought it after getting the dvd with paul newman playing the lead,make no mistake this is the best boxing book i have ever read. the true story of rocky graziano ,from new york bum to world champion in his own woids (sic).and then into show biz as a much loved celebrity.his narrative is so honest,the fight descriptions so vivid and raw you will cower at the ferocity of his no holds barred aggression blood and thunder,gouging stamping grabbing by the throat with one fist while hitting with the other.the fighters? of today seem like pussycats in comparison.in those days to box for the world championship meant THAT!.Putting your life on the line.if you dont believe me ,if you never read another boxing book make sure you read this one,because make no ...
