    LGA 1155 is the new LGA 775

    If you know what I mean about LGA 775 you will be familiar with getting these old motherboards and CPUs going as fast as possible. However even for a hacker like me they are nearing obsolete. Yeah I'll still upgrade them with 771 XEONs but to be honest LGA 1155 has more legs (pins). You could build a cheap RYZEN 3 system with about the same power as this i5 but blummin' heck will it cost yah. I reckon CPU, MoBo, and RAM is less than £100. The advantage of this CPU on an 1155 MoBo is that all of it is cheap. You can easily get two sticks of DDR3 to get you to 8GB, not so easy to do that on DDR2 due to compatibility problems. OK so the i5 CPU is more money than the 771 Xeons but not by much. So in closing this is RYZEN 3 power on the cheap and it a better platform for price performance ...
