  • A Layman's Approach

First, I believe the Bible is from the Lord God. The Oxford Annotated Bible and the Oxford Bible Commentary examine the text from a purely objective view, drawing wherever possible on secondary sources and contemporary historical / archaological data. This is a valid search of the Scriptures without doctrinal constraints, not a challenge to authenticity and truth. • Worth the money

I have just started using this Commentary while doing a study in becoming a Lay Minister. So far, I love it. Easy to read, easy to understand. I would recommend it for the desk of everyone who is in a serious study of the Bible.
