Surprises galore in this movie.
This movie is responsible for me being a Monica Potter fan. I first saw her in Con-Air with Nicholas Gage as his wife, where she made a few appearances, but I didn't even know what her name was then. This movie has a lot of surprises and needs to actually be watched multiple times to gain a full understanding of the storyline. It is a good movie with fast paced action at times.

Decently good take on a great novel.
I bought the dvd for my wife, who is a fan of Patterson's novels, and had asked me to try and find the movie version for her. I have not read any of the novels myself, but I found the movie to be quite the thriller, and it moved along at a brisk pace. Im also a fan of Morgan Freeman, and he delivered wonderfully as detective Alex Cross. My wife however, was completely dissatisfied with the deviation from the source material. another smash hit
aaahhhhh....Morgan freeman / Dr. Cross a greta role for a great actor, hope they do more Dr.Cross films..as in Kiss The Girls Morgan gives the role his all, using his study of the criminal mind to take down his nemesis'. enough twists in the story line to keep your attention without boring you; action aplenty, chase scenes, close calls. a well written storyline and a well acted film. a must see for all Morgan Freeman fans..aaahhhhh....Morgan freeman / Dr. Cross a greta role for a great actor, hope they do more Dr.Cross films..as in Kiss The Girls Morgan gives the role his all, using his study of the criminal mind to take down his nemesis'. enough twists in the story line to keep your attention without boring you; action aplenty, chase scenes, close calls. a well written storyline and a well acted film. a must see for all Morgan Freeman fans..

I've been reading some of the comments for this movie, and think that many of you are over-critical. This is a psychological thriller, and plays it's part well. Morgan Freeman is one of my favourite actors, and he plays Detective Alex Cross very well. I enjoyed the movie on a thriller type basis. If you want to be critical about it not living up to the book's legend then fine... cause I'll be the first one to tell you that it's barely anything like the book. I'm not one to bash movies unless they are horrible, and for those of you that think this movie is horrible... thats just your call. This movie is good, its just not the book. ...
