SIGNED EDITION. This copy has been signed by both authors. The, book is in Very Good+ condition and has a Very Good+ dust, jacket. The book and its contents are in generally clean,, bright condition. The spine ends and corners of the book covers, have some light bumping. The text pages are clean and bright., This copy has been signed on the title page by both authors., There is a presentation bookplate from the Japanese American, Citizens League on the reverse of the recent books page. The, dust jacket has some edge wear, rubbing and nicking / small, edge tears to the spine ends. There is an inch long semi-closed, tear to the top rear panel of the dust jacket. "Bill Hosokawa, (1915–2007) was a journalist and author who was a pioneering, but controversial chronicler of the Japanese American, experience whose Nisei: The Quiet Americans, the first popular, history of Japanese Americans, was published in 1969. A, longtime columnist for the Japanese American Citizens League's, (JACL) Pacific Citizen newspaper, Hosokawa took a controversial, stand against redress in the 1970s, but later supported redress, and the presidential apology that came with the Civil Liberties, Act of 1988.
