About this product

Product Information

Filled with updated research and findings, the ninth edition of Schultz and Schultz's THEORIES OF PERSONALITY gives you a clear and cogent introduction to this dynamic field. Organized by theory, this popular text discusses major theorists who represent psychoanalytic, neopsychoanalytic, lifespan, trait, humanistic, cognitive, behavioral, and social-learning approaches, while demonstrating the influence of events in theorists' personal and professional lives on the development of these theories. The book also explores the ways in which race, gender, and cultural issues play a part in the study of personality and in personality assessment, and includes numerous examples, tables, and figures that further enhance your understanding of the content. The final chapter, "Personality in Perspective," integrates topics explored in previous chapters and suggests conclusions that can be drawn from the many theorists' work.

  • Expedient delivery! And met my criteria of need.

The book is informative and falls in line with most text books by these two authors. My is the international version but there is no difference and the price was for a brand new book!

  • Not Awesome! Don't Sell something in the US if you AREN'T ALLOWED TO!!!!!!!

I bought this book for my Psychology class. However I was not at the time aware that IT IS NOT FOR SALE IN THE UNITED STATES. My class hasn't started yet and I don't know if the version is even going to be compatible with my class or not. I don't think that you should be able to sell something to me that is not allowed for sale in the United States. So so far I am not happy.

  • good information, easy to read, dry presentation

book could be pretty dry at times. the chapters arent that long but still do an adequate job of doing a basic overview of personality theory from a lot of different schools of thought.

  • Great Value!! Awesome textbook

Bought this book for my summer condensed class, has been very helpful and a good quality textbook. International version is exactly the same as the U.S edition.

  • Great for getting inside your personality!

I bought this for one of my college classes and it is a very good read. It's not very boring and has a lot of interesting information.
