      Spice up an old PC

      I have a 7 year old PC that i originally built with a Core 2 Duo processor. I wanted to speed it up a little without having to change the motherboard. This Core 2 quad processor offers 2 extra cores compared to the old Core 2 Duo, and a faster clock speed. This upgrade, together with some additional RAM, has given the PC a new lease of life. I’m very pleased with the result. Thank you.

      It was and is the best old cpu that works as it should

      I was a building study computer with some second handle motherboard , case, power supply, hard drive, there was no CPU's so I checked via motherboard web site to see what it took I had always builded core 2 duo so I saw that the motherboard supported Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 3 GHZ 12MB Socket 775 so I checked on ebay and found one for a good price, it came quite quickly and was fitted very quickly. And the system was up and running in no time I just install windows 7 64 bit and office 2007 it is running like a dream

      I'm Sad

      I'm so sad, because the CPU didn't work with my Motherboard. In its description there is that the motherboard support this CPU. So thats all. It was arrive in time.
