It stars slow and will sew as fast as my needs are. I have other machines that have the 250w 2.5amp china motors they are too fast. The are built for reduction geared machines like sailrite/ clones. This is my new "go-to" replacement motor. I will buy more in the future 100%. And it's fairly quiet too. NOT crunchy sounding. Pedal is smooth. Other colors would be nice. But that's the least of my worries...
