Loved the Stargate SG-1 series from the very beginning. Have the complete series collector's edition. If you are a SG-1 fan, you have to have "Children of the Gods", "The Ark of Truth" and "Continuum". Gotta love eBay for grabbing great movie titles at great prices!

SG-1 travels to the Ori home galaxy in search of an Ancient device that could stop the Ori war once and for all. But the return of an old enemy threatens to overrun the ship before they can accomplish their mission. The war with the forces of the Ori continues. But Earth (and all of our galaxy) has just gotten a major break: Tomin, Vala's husband and a commander of the invading armies, has defected. SG-1 brings Tomin to Earth, and he tells them that the worshippers of the Ori are about to bring another wave of warships through the intergalactic Supergate. There has been little we could do to stand up to only the first four ships ("Flesh and Blood") -- with dozens of ships fighting their holy war, the Ori victory will be swift. And a coordinated attack on Earth is most certainly ... SG-1 travels to the Ori home galaxy in search of an Ancient device that could stop the Ori war once and for all. Marrick pretends to be friendly and disarming, an ally just doing his job, but makes it clear to Tomin that he holds him in great disdain, heartlessly confronting him about his war atrocities. Meanwhile, SG-1 is planning a bold mission to travel to the Ori home galaxy itself. They are in search of the "Ark of Truth," which they hope can put an end to the war. Stargate: The Ark of Truth
The Ark of Truth is a continuation of the popular Sci-Fi Channel hit, Stargate SG1. As explained in the Special Features on the DVD, this is the storyline the writers and producers would have followed had they been allowed to continue for an 11th season. Why the Sci-Fi Channel canceled such a popular show is beyond me and millions others, but that is for another debate. The Ark of Truth is beautifully shot, well acted, directed, and is full of the usual wit and wisdom displayed by the characters in the TV series. The ONLY problem I really had was that a few of the special effects looked a little cheesy, like they were done on an old video toaster, though I know that's not the case. I even like the idea of going straight to DVD. I have seen too many television series fail when trying to convert to the big screen. It was created and made successful on television and that's where we, the fans, are comfortable watching it; in the privacy of our homes with the surround sound blasting as loud as we want. This is a ten thumbs up and I am anxiously waiting for the next and next. As long as the actors are willing and can continue "their motivation." Should you buy it? Only if you are a true Stargate fan and want to see the storyline with the Ori come to a logical and profound conclusion. . . or does it? Can two descended beings really destroy each other??? We shall have to wait and see.

This pretty much wraps up the Stargate SG-1 series and brings an end to the Ori. Other elements re-introduced seem old, but it gives Mitchell a chance to blow something up. I do really like Stargate SG-1, but I fear that it has the potential to take the same path taken in Star Trek Next Generation. Nuf said. Good entertainment and hopefully (with Stargate:Continuum) the last. STARGATE: Ark of Truth
A must for any Stargate fan to finish the deplorable Ori story. That whole story line was a terrible mistake, and I'm very pleased that it's finished. Now the team can get on with their lives and get Jack back in the picture, even if it's just for a few minutes. The movie was well made with decent special effects. Actual plot line fairly thin. I always enjoy watching the 3 original SG1 team members and will probably buy anything they do.A must for any Stargate fan to finish the deplorable Ori story.
