The Sims 3: Showtime expansion pack adds celebrity entertainer career paths to the game, encouraging the creation of performance artist characters and "rags to riches" narratives. It also adds a number of real-world social features, allowing players to share characters and swap stories (over an internet connection) without leaving their own virtual neighborhoods. Construction-minded Sims 3 gamers can create their own performance venues, from backrooms and indie clubs to concert halls and massive arenas. Stage design can affect sims' performances and influence their career paths. <br><br>Aspirant celebrity sims can seek fame and fortune as singers, DJs, magicians, or acrobats. Career goals help guide sims, step by step, toward success as avant-garde artists or pop idols. Performers hone their craft and gain new fans by going on tour. Showtime's "SimPort" feature allows players to send their sims off to gigs in other players' games. While in the other player's neighborhood, the artist's performance will receive reviews, and both players gain bonuses for the exchange. Players can also follow one another though in-game "wall posts," and share neighborhood events and stories through newsfeeds and e-cards.

    Fun Expansion Pack with Glitches

    Sims 3 Showtime (released 2012) is a nice expansion pack addition for Sims 3 Ambitions and Nightlife. However, the game has a number of annoying glitches which are discussed in various online venues, and, of course, will remain unfixed because of the age of the pack. Overall, I've found workarounds and enjoy the new gameplay.

    Loads of goodies

    I've dragged my heels on getting this expansion as it didn't initially appeal to me. It wasn't til more recently I learned of the numerous useful objects and buildmode items that came with this game and many new and fun careers our sims can partake in. I'm very happy I decided to make this purchase and would recommend to others.
