  • Excellent lens. I saved 5 stars for Canon L and the best Tamron SPs

This is a Vivitar series 1 70-210 f3.5 lens made by Tokina. I have 4 copies of this lens as well as 5 copies of the Kiron and 3 of the komine series 1 70-210. All are good lenses. The Tokinas seem to be prone to slight fungus problems but all 4 copies are sharp. The "new" lens that I recently bought had a Minolta MD mount, not a Konica mount. I bought a two adapters for the lens to use on my Canon 40D DSLR. The first arrived and it is a Pixco with no glass so it won't focus to infinity. I used it for macro and it will focus up to about 14 feet. The clarity is EXCELLENT! It is clearly a bargain macro lens. Clarity on still life up to about 14 feet is excellent, even when not pushing macro magnification to the limit. I ordered an EOS adapter for the ...

  • Fine equipment, excellent price.

This is a classic lense with somewhat of a cult status. It does an excellent job in all areas. It might be a little heavy for some people and they may need to put the camera on a tripod. People used to shooting film and used to older SLR cameras will appreciate the weight but people who are used to DSLRs will find it a bit cumbersome. Overall, a very fine piece of equipment. Very expensive at one time now prices have come down to very reasonable rates allowing average users to own some fine equipment once confined to professional photographers.

  • Awesome vintage lens

Wonderful vintage lens! Luminous and sharp at all apertures! Used on a6000 paired with Minolta to E-mount adapter

  • Incredible macro

The Vivitar Series 1 lens was the third party equivalent to L glass. The images have a deep rich tone with excellent sharpness. But he lens really shines in macro mode. Astounding images with soft creamy bokeh in both macro and standard modes.
