    Replace a pair (different part numbers) or all four.

    Original equipment. Buy a pair of agitators, one left hand spiral and one right hand (different part numbers), rather than just a left or right spiral singly. Each side of the vacuum has to have a pair, one left and one right spiral. Despite the manufacturer’s diagrams, either the left or right spiral may be in the front or rear position. It’s even better to replace all four agitators so the bristles are the same length and performance is uniform. Note: generic agitators are good substitutes.
