    A bit pricey but all-in-all, a very nice package! I bought this box set to watch with my Mom. Believe it or not as of 06/05/2020, she had never seen a single episode!!! We are on Season 1, Episode 5 or 6 as of this review and she is totally hooked!! The box set is very nice to look at and the Blu-ray picture quality is quite good. I was thinking of just buying the DVD set but with a saga this epic, I'm really glad I shelled out a few more clams and went with the Blu-ray. I believe it was worth it. I think most people already know this but GOT is one of the best fantasy adventure series of all time. I especially recommend buying this if you have someone to watch it with who has never seen it.     Too much packaging.

    I am happy with the actual movies, I am not happy with the excessive packaging. There is only a few episodes on each individual DVD. One has to constantly get up and change dvds. It’s annoying. The whole thing could be condensed into way fewer dvds. There doesn’t have to be three layers of packaging. Very wasteful and not earth friendly.

    It’s HBO so sadly in some ways your paying for a plethora of nudity and there’s plenty to go around in the first season. If you like to love characters it may be difficult to watch as the onslaught of treachery and debauchery is unending. I’m seeing this for the first time and in the 4th season as I write this since there’s little else to do during the pandemic. The scenery, plots and sub-plots are epic. If you can get past the carnality and carnage, and you like the fairytale adventure you’ll be immersed.

    So worth it!

    After a few seasons, HBO upgraded the sound to Dolby Atmos along with progressively better quality cameras. Even though it's only 1080P Blue Rays, the images look very sharp on my 77" OLED 4K UHD TV and my full 11 channel surround soud with Imax Quality subwoofers. It's a bargain in the world of entertainment!
