    Shimano is great! I use to race mountain bikes.

    Have an old Cannondale mountain bike that I raced in the early 90's that needed new Shimano shifters. The old XT's were worn and I needed to replace them. I bought this set and they work great, they shift fast without missed shifts and jumping off the sprockets. Price was very affordable and the performance is better than the old Shimano XT. Highly recomend them for restoration. the Cannondale was custom built in 1991 for $4500.00 or more and it would have been a waste to not replace the shifters and chain. The Bike is way to nice for that. It is Vintage now, but still as good as most of the new Cannondales in the 3 - 4 thousand dollar bracket. I hope this review helps you decide, it is well worth the money and is made high qaulity.

    Replacing Old Shimano Sis thumb shifter and old canti breaks with v-breaks and triger shifters.

    Worked out great, simply drop inn conversion. The whole system worked flawlessly better then "tired" Shimano Sis and Shimano 200cx gear train.

    Good upgrade

    Upgraded from Shimano EF-29’s to these EF-500’s. I would say there is a big difference in quality, way smoother shifting and Installation is a breeze. I would buy again and highly recommend for the price point.
