    Works well if you can figure out how to use it.

    Does an excellent job of transferring all types of files (not programs) between computers. It's fast. Once you figure it out, it's drag and drop, but it's certainly not intuitive. Cons: The provided instructions are worthless. The online instructions are worth less. The YouTube video of geeks explaining how to use it is worthless. Unless you really shop, like I did, it's car too expensive for a cable. I paid $7+ I saw them for all sorts of ridiculous prices.

    Not bad for occasional user with small amount of data to transfer.

    USB 2.0 is too slow for the amount of data I was moving. Easy to setup connection. Worked OK windows 10 to 10. Not working win 10 to XP, network issues. Could not transfer between Win 10 and XP. If you are going back only one Windows release it should be OK for you. You still have permissions issues with data transfer between hosts. I ended up doing a local network connection and transferring over ethernet which was faster but still had permissions issues with multiple user accounts on each host.

    Great product.

    Previously I purchased a similar item. I couldn't get it to work. I downloaded new drivers and tried a number of fixes. None worked. I ran across this item, which was much cheaper. I returned the other and bought this one. It worked great right from the start. I used because I upgraded to another computer. All my files went over without a hitch. Good product and good value.

    Works well. Excellent value. moving Window 7 filles to windows 11. Not as computer literate as some. Took some trials-my fault not the product but achieved the goal. Great buy. Does work.

    Did not work for me

    I have to transfer data from my old Windows 10 computer to a newer Windows 10 PRO. Even though the product does not imply it works for 10, some reviews implied it did. Upon trying, I found out that Microsoft no longer uses Easy Transfer and I had zero luck trying to transfer with this cable. Every time I tried I got a message that "Easy Transfer did not have sufficient memory". I gave up on using the cable. Microsoft now recommends LAPLINK PCmover to transfer data.
