    Generic Extension

    This is a good quality counter extension with quality parts. However, you need to keep in mind that this is a generic item which might require some modifications depending on your counter. As in my case, my counter edge is rounded (not flat) and the bottom outer edge of the rounded piece isn’t flush with the bottom of the counter. So I had to cut a 3/8” thick piece of wood 12” long x 7/8” wide and screw it to the bottom edge of the counter before I could mount it. Also, since my outer counter edge is rounded I had to purchase a different 12” long x 1 1/2” wide hinge versus the 12” x 1 1/4” hinge the extension comes with. Otherwise my mounting holes for the existing hinge wouldn’t have been wide enough to screw into the bottom of the counter due to the rounded outer edge. Once mounted, it ...
