    Economical Processor for the overclocking enthusiast

    AMD has been my choice for the last 11 years, mainly because of price. Having been through the evolution of AMD processors from the K9 350 Mhz days all up to the Phenom II, I must say that NONE of my five processors have never failed. I have overclocked each one the very day I intalled it and they have all performed beautifully. With this present processor I was able to overclock it to 3.7 Ghz and run Burnin at 100% duticycles for any amount of time without a BSOD. AMD has made and built these processors to overclocked so why pamper them when they are designed to take "pressure". The Zalman CNPS9900 works like clockwork when overclocking. Choice of processors and heat sinks are very opinionated and subjective. So lambasting "Intel" here is of NO value. Each brand of processors has it ...

    AWESOME!

    I've had an Athlon X2 6000+ for a couple years now, and it was great up until I realized that it was the reason my rig wasn't performing up to par. And not being able to play Fear 2 is just not acceptable. I know that this chip works on AM2 boards, especially the M2N32-SLI Deluxe, which I have. Had a lot of problems, but if anyone is having issues with this board, a couple of suggestions is to first reset the motherboard, then try hitting the reset button after the power button if you get no POST, and lastly clock the RAM down to 667 MHz if you've got DDR2800 RAM. All of that gave me a computer whose longevity of 3 years is simply astounding, especially for smooth game play in games like Crysis or FEAR.

    Great bang for the buck!

    I was not looking for one of these but when I saw that it was quad-core running at 3 GHz I thought it a very good deal for the price. I then built it into a new system for my children and it really works well. They even commented that they did not see what was so bad about Vista. But with this processor, 4 Gigs of dual channel 1066 MHz gaming RAM, a good power supply, 512 MB PCI Express 2.0 video card and 400 GB SATA hard drive it has the horsepower to run Vista Ultimate 64-bit. Still a relatively modest system but superior to the average manufacturer PC if I do say myself. AMD may be running second to Intel right now but if value is more important than performance this chip still performs.

    Awesome AMD Phenom II x4 @ 3.0GHz and fast shipping.

    This processor was a big upgrade from my Athlon II x2 2.7GHz Brisbane (overclock @ 3.0GHz. My Windows7 score went from 6.1 to 7.4. The increase in speed is night and day. Every thing from downloading pictures to compressing files is a whole lot faster than my old processor. I manage to overclock to 3.7GHz on air which is a big plus. I would definitely recommend this item.
