Perfect for Jeep Wrangler
Very easy to install. The instructions are ok but there are actually some great videos on this install to watch. They fit the 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4 door 75th anniversary edition perfectly. There's no alterations needed... jusr follow the instructions and install with everything provided. After the install these rods are absolutely amazing! I highly recommend these hood rods.

Well made, easy to install with basic hand tools but did not work out for me
This hydraulic hood support kit was easy to install and required only basic hand tools, no drilling required. It calls for a 4mm hex head socket but a 4mm hex wrench works just fine. The hardware is nice quality. It took about 30-40 minutes to install, another 20-30 minutes to adjust and about 10 minutes to un-install. It did not work for me so it's back in the box on the shelf in my garage. The problem is that when the hood is closed, the pressure from the hydraulic struts was so much it caused my hood hinges to flex. The hood moved forward and opened about a 1/2" larger gap between the hood and cowl and my hood latches could not close. IF you don't mind the big gap that does not seal, AND you have the stock rubber hood latches this kit will work fine. I have after market metal hood ... Amazingly Sturdy!!!
If you aren't a tall person - and you have a lifted Jeep - these can help you lift your hood so much easier! The pressure lifts the hood with a gentle push. You can attach a cable to pull it back down. Works excellent for lifted Jeeps!!! Visit UberJeepAZ on You.Tube to view installation and use video!

Easy add on that does great. No need for hood rod now. 15 minutes max to install. Just read directions and have tools on directions ready. I love mine.
