    These are great ..... maybe too great

    I use Tufo Tape to glue my Challenge tubulars to Ritchey WCS Carbon rims. They are easy to use and apply. It's getting them off that's the challenge. I have friends who still glue their tires and they swear by that method but I've found glue to be too messy and time consuming. Assuming your wheel bed on your rim is clean, applying the tape and gluing the tire to the rim takes 10 minutes at most. But taking the tire off can be a hassle. However, I would rather the tire stay on that it come off too easily (particularly on a descent or in a race). I highly recommend this product (even if Tufo claims that their product is only to be used with Tufo-brand tires).

    Best innovation in Tubular tires

    I got a used time trial / Triathlon bike to see how fast they were (they're awesome fast) but I needed to swap out the tires. Gluing tape sounded easier and better than regular glue so I got two rolls and tried them out and it's so great! I had a bad time removing the old glue. It's nasty and very difficult to get off the wheels (Carbon fiber Zipp wheels) After scrubbing it with dissolvent I got most of it off and proceed with this gluing tape. It's so easy to install fresh tires: 1. Remove old tires, remove old glue. (ick) 2. Wrap the gluing tape around the rim, avoiding the valve hole. 3. Leave a small piece of the rim tape plastic hanging outside while you place the new tire on the rim. You should have the piece of plastic sticking out of between the rim and tire. 4.     Works great

    I always wanted to try tubular tires but was reluctant because of the gluing process taking so much time and being so messy. I decided to try them but use the Tufo tape rather than glue. I have used the product for about 6 years on 3 different sets of carbon rims. The stuff is great and is not difficult to work with. I have never had a tire come loose and in fact I have to really work to get an old worn tire off. I use them on road bikes and have road raced with the tape. Good product.

    Best tubular tape on the market

    When combined with Tufo tires, this tape provides an exceptional bond to your tubular wheels. Used without issue for training in 90F plus degree heat, low 20F degree cold, and severe rain. Goes on quick and easy, and comes off the wheel just as easily if you need to replace a punctured tire you can't fix with sealant. Can't speak to the tape as far as combining it with non-Tufo tires, as Tufo recommends using Tufo tape only with their tires. Also, as long as your carbon tubulars are in good shape to begin with, removal of the Tufo tape will not damage them. Highly recommended!

    Works great! Fast, simple to apply

    This beats the gluing method! This takes 5 minutes to apply the tape to the rim and the tire ... compares to multiple days with gluing. I would be interest in knowing how long it would take to remove the tape to change to a new tire. Removing the old glue was very difficult. I can't imagine removing the tape would be more difficult.
