This is a well made and useful cable for the Z1. I thought it would be ok for a 1978 Z1000. Although it can be made to fit, it is too long and has to take a tortuous path. (Oddly it has a red cover at one end and a black cover on the other.) If you are buying for the bikes specified in the listing it is good value.
