    English Leather by Dana - Close but not the same

    In the late 1960s I bought a 2 ounce of English Leather which was made by Mem - the original. I found that bottle last year and loved the smell. It reminded me of that time when Desert Boots, Barracuda jackets and Bob Dylan were so cool. So I went searching for English Leather on line. I was delighted when I found this. But I was not too happy with the mixed reviews that I saw "smells like gasoline" was the worst one that I saw. But hey, maybe the original English Leather would have also smelled like gasoline to that reviewer, so I bought a bottle. I still have have of the original bottle that was made by Mem - so when this bottle produced by Dana came I knew that I would be able to make an honest comparison . It's close, but not the same ... a different smell, it's harsher, not as ...

    The traditional Man’s aftershave

    Have used English Leather Aftershave for 40+ years. I was informed by my wife 43 years ago that “I should wear English Leather or nothing at all”. I have never found a another fragrance that last as long and yet is subtle but distinctive, is recognized by everyone as being uniquely identifiable to the wearer.
