It was a replacement keyboard.
Replaces my same keyboard with the same make and model. I had several keys sticking and one broken. I even tried super glue to hold a letter on. A couple of screws and two plugs and I have what types like a new laptop computer.

Lit keyboard enhancement.....
The light up key board installed in about 15 minutes... Now I can see what Im typing especially special characters at night. Use a graphite pry stick .. it doesnt scratch the plastic bezel frame around the keyboard.... also... don't forget to remove the one black screw under the removable battery .. it holds the the keyboard square frane in place.. It is said on the internet it will not work if you didn't have a backlit keyboard before. go to dell download windows accessibility 2015 it might not show up off the battery icon but it does work PERFECTLY. Check out Youtube for replacing keyboard 3 screws that's it . All Good IMW Thx Ron b.
