This carb fits and works fine with the older Briggs 14hp -18.5hp engines with oval air filters but The choke lever is designed for the newer 19hp to 21hp single briggs engines with the round air filter . I just cut off the portion that interferes with the air filter housing so that it opens and closes easily and wont stick .
