These lights are sturdy and very bright, but there are two things that make them special in my opinion. First is that the lights don't automatically change color. You choose color or clear with plastic covers that can be changed out. I chose some blue covers and some clear covers depending on what I wanted to highlight. The LED lights are brighter than the halogens they replaced on my pond. Finally, the light strings include a more generous amount of wire than other brands (check the manufacturer's specs) and can be placed in positions further from the power source. I was surprised that the plug wasn't grounded, but I plugged them into a timer that is grounded and both are in a dry spot protected from weather.

So far so good. All 6 lights working. I do wish there was a simpler way of submerging these lights should that they remain in a consistently good position on the bottom of a shallow, working koi pond. For them to work I had to wire each light to a brick that would sit on the bottom of the pond. Spikes are not an option because of piercing the rubber liner of the pond. .. no easy answer, but just food for thought.

These led lights are a great price and the amount of light they put out is really bright. Also the distance between lights and the length of the wire allows you to cover a great distance with them. I completely lit my 2000 gallon koi pond.

It worked when installed, when I went back to the installation to clean it, half of the 6 lights had quit working. Two did not have water intrusion, but one did leak and let water ruin the interior contacts.
