Das Walimex Pro 800-800mm f/8.0 DX Objektiv für Sony ist ein Spiegel-Teleobjektiv mit T2-Adapter-Anschluss. Bei einem Gewicht von nur 946 g und einer Größe von 11x11x13 cm erweist es sich als kompakt und leicht. Aufgrund der Spiegelkonstruktion mit 8 vergüteten Linsenelementen verfügt das Walimex-Objektiv trotz seiner geringen Maße über eine feste Brennweite von 800 mm. Es eignet sich somit zur Vergrößerung weit entfernter Objekte. Mit einer Lichtstärke von 1:8,0 und einem Bildwinkel von 3 Grad ist das Objektiv flexibel und vielseitig einsetzbar. Die Mechanik erlaubt eine exakte, manuelle Fokussierung. Trotz des hohen Vergrößerungsfaktors zeichnet sich das Walimex-Objektiv durch eine kurze Naheinstellgrenze von 3,5 m aus. Diese ermöglicht bei Bedarf auch das Fotografieren aus geringer Distanz. Das Spiegel-Teleobjektiv besitzt ein Filtergewinde, an das sich alle gängigen Filter mit einem Durchmesser von 35 mm anbringen lassen. Mit seiner großen Brennweite ist das Walimex Pro 800-800mm f/8.0 DX insbesondere für das Fotografieren im Freien geeignet. Sowohl Landschaftsfotos als auch Tieraufnahmen aus unauffälliger Distanz sind dank der starken Vergrößerung des Objektivs möglich. Das robuste Metallgehäuse und die kompakte Form bei geringem Gewicht machen das Walimex-Objektiv tauglich für den Einsatz auf längeren Reisen und Ausflügen. Aufgrund seiner einfachen Handhabung eignet es sich zudem auch für Einsteiger.
