I was leaning towards the Suunto Core when I found this Casio. While priced much higher than the Core, the waterproof rating for the Casio was superior, and that made up my mind. I also spent some time reading the user manual prior to purchase. First off, this watch looks GREAT! Large, rugged, and comfortable on the wrist. With analog hands, it's very easy to tell the time. While I'm slightly disappointed with the luminance of the hands in the dark (at this price, tritium markers would be appropriate), the LED makes up for that nicely. This watch is a tool, packed with features. You can set the declination angle for your region so your compass will be accurate. You can set your home city and have Atomic timekeeping. Traveling to a different time zone? Set your home city and the watch will set the time for you. Built in weather warnings, constant tide chart (which is a useless feature if you don't live near the ocean). Solar powered, G Shock. Expensive? Yes. But this watch seems to be a quality tool that should last a lifetime. Spend some time with the manual and get to know how it functions and you will be impressed.Read full review
