    very loud hdd

    When i first installed it, the loudness made me think that the item was close to end of life, but i was wrong since it is running perfectly and passed all the test. I can a pretty good access speed and I enjoy the larger of space. I would definitely recommend this item to other people. For the price it worth it to bear the loudness of this drive

    Western Digital Hard Drives

    I have used Western Digital extensively for over 20 years. Although I have tried other hard drives, I apparently return to Western Digital for reliability and performance. Okay, 160GB is a relatively small amount of storage and IDE is nearly obsolete, but using an external USB enclosure and connecting this to my PC provides an alternative backup solution. This drive is relatively fast and as with many WD drives, I feel it will provide years of service. Although IDE drives are becoming a thing of the past, the prices for IDE drives are a bargain and provide simple and effective method of backing up those precious files, songs and videos.

    Dependable Hard Drive, Getting harder to find these days.

    This is a great hard drive, perfect for expanding or upgrading your hard drive. Perfect for older Desktops still using EIDE drives instead of the newer more widely available SATA drives. These drives seem harder and harder to find these days and Western Digital has proven to be a very dependable drive. With the 160 GB of the Caviar, there's plenty of room to store all your media!

    western digital is the only company for hard drives

    first off western digital is a great product. this hd is great for the ps2 with a network adapter for the old style ps2. once again you cant go wrong with a western digital product
