Worked perfect on 2008 Chevy HHR.
Worked perfectly on my wife's 2008 Chevy HHR. No cons. I had more trouble getting the lighter out of the old broken housing than I did putting it back into the new one I purchased. Had to break off some stubborn plastic lock tabs on the old retainer then fight it for about 15 minutes for it to come off. The new retainer cover slid right on and clicked into place. Plugged right into the car with a couple of twists to get the locking tabs seated correctly into the console panel. Has been holding strong and steady ever since. Bought 2 just to have a spare in case the original lighter retainer in the back seat gives out. Wife thinks I'm a hero for fixing it too. What can I say... She ain't wrong. The lid is of the type that is made as one unit of plastic. This in the short run will break. I do not recommend it since for the same price I was able to get the entire lighter.

Better than original "hinge type"
Both of my OEM pin style hinges broke off. GM replaced the 1st one while under warranty. It worked well so when the rear one broke, then I decided to buy the same type. I think this type last much longer.
