There great at doing what there supposed to do which is protect cards. It can be a challenge to get cards in. Personally I like card saver 1's better for ease of card placement as some cards with a delicate finish I put in a penny sleeve first making it at times almost impossible to put in a card saver 2, but I like the smaller size of the 2's better for storing cards. Personally I would use 1's more if it was not for the fact most monster boxes and such are not wide enough for them. Another thing I've noticed of late is sometimes you get a bad batch that are not sealed at the bottom, not alot but more than should.

I bought these to use as dividers between baseball cards in storage boxes. They work fine for this as I can insert a cheap card of the player I want to identify and add a name label to the extra 3/4" at the top. But DO NOT try to use these as a substitute for top loaders. it is virtually impossible to insert a card fully into a card saver without damaging an edge or corner, and once inserted, the only way to remove a card is to destroy the "card saver". They can not be slid back out. Card savers are fine if you think you need some added protection on a really cheap card for some reason, but these are NOT a substitute for top loaders when you need to protect a card with any significant value. Just be sure you know what you want to use these for.

Don't listen to these negative reviews here about the Cardboard Gold Savers 1 Semi Rigid holders. You can reuse them, they don't damage cards in anyway and you can insert the cards fully into them with ease. If anything the top loaders pose more of a threat to damaging a corner or edge upon insertion or removal. These holders are slightly wider than a standard card with a 1/2 inch tab at the top for easy insertion and removal. They hold the cards snugly so they don't move at all during handling or shipment off to PSA / BGS for grading. Would PSA or BGS require these holders with the millions of dollars worth of cards they process if these were not trustworthy and secure holders, certainly not. I have been using these holders for years exclusively with my personal collection as well as sending in hundreds of cards to be graded with no problems at all ever.Read full review

Very good card holders. I use alot of them. Usually use for my cheaper inserts and rookies. Use regular top loaders for more expensive cards.

No pros ruin cards with this poor product. I sued these in the 90's and they were fine. Ultra Pro is a much better option at this size. Card Saver 1's are a good option but they take up too much room. They do not fit in the shoe box style card box.
