It performed better than anticipated. Very quiet in comparison to bigger AC welders, I guess that should've been expected (only noise is from wind made by internal fan). It is also powerful for its size. Very easy to setup thanks to tight twist to connect terminals (if thats what they are called?). I would recommend!

This unit has the highest duty cycle (use/rest periods) of any product of its type. It may be connected to an electrical source (as the picture shows, it has no plug) using wire nuts or directly to two individual 30 amp (recommended minimum) breakers. This single phase unit comes with two "hot" wires (110 + 110 = 220v). Various size rods may be used depending on the source amps: for example, 30 amps (each breaker) will allow you to weld using 6013 rods (3/32) with varying stock thickness: for example, 1/4 inch stock would require a higher welding amp setting* vs 1/8 stock using a 30 amp source. *The unit allows you to adjust (up to 200 amps) the amount of welding amps to either weld or burn a hole through the stock. The unit has quality ground and welding clamps normally found on a more expensive unit. The welding clamp grips the rod in either vertical | or horizontal -- degree positions.Read full review
