I purchased this salt on the recommendation of my chiropractor who is also a neuro biochemist. I never was a salt lover, and it annoys me when I see people cover their food in salt. My doctor told me that pink salt is good for you due to its high mineral content. I wasn't sold...I thought what's the big deal, salt is salt...not so, not by a longshot...I bought a bag and I was instantly hooked. I have not tried any other brand because I don't have to, Viva Doria's brand is excellent and the price could not be more reasonable. Pink Himalyan salt makes anything you put on it taste so much better, it brings out the flavor in ways I didn't think possible. And I sprinkle it liberally. If I put that much of my old iodized salt on my food I'd be throwing it in the trash. I cannot stress ... Natural Salt That Hasn't Been Tampered With By Man.
This salt has NOT been processed & stripped of its natural minerals (white table salt is), or had anything added to it. It contains up to 84 trace minerals your body needs, including Magnesium. The taste is far superior to ordinary white table salt, & because of that, I am able to use less salt. I trust Viva Doria as a supplier of Ancient Ocean Himalayan Pink Salt.

I've heard of these salts for years.......and now that I've tried them, I'll never go back to iodized salt. This is much saltier than regular table salt, so need to use less. Excellent.
