If you know anything about Technics 1200s, then you already know that these are the SH**! Basically a pimped out M5G. Uses a digital pitch fader that has ability to switch between +/-8 and +/-16, has a built in holder for a backup head shell, Panasonics higher-end RCA cable and of gold plating. One thing I noticed that is different (compared to an LTD) is on the strobe markings. The old 1200s have 0, +/-3 and +/-6%, whereas the GLD has 0, +/-3 and +/-6.4%. Makes me thing you wouldn't want to DJ with an LTD and a GLD or you may find a bit of variance in pitch as you go up in speed. These aren't cheap! Stay patient and you may be lucky to find one or two for a decent starting bid. I happened to get one at a fair price but don't understand how guys are asking upwards of 5K+ on buy it now.

Wanted to leave this review for Ace... 10 days ago we negotiated the purchase of two turntables... my single largest purchase dollar wise online. Ace was fantastic at messaging me from start to post arrival... we had a small issue due to FedEx personnel but Ace was on it like a shot. Through the entire process Ace has been 100% packing the product fixing the FedEx issue and all round a great guy. Encourage to work with Ace as he is the genuine article.... the decks 12/10's mk5 play awesome and are virtually mint - what a fantastic deal we got too. Thank you ever so much Ace. All the best, Ray. V. 👍🎧

Awesome turntable, you can’t beat 1200s. Best mix of torque and analog pitch control.
