MUST be on tripod. seems to have a rainbow glow around objects. Set camera to 2 sec delay if you can't use your phone for the shutter. Have to work at getting a clear up-close focuses. One way to look at it, if your going to be in the woods or other places you don't want to take a $300.00 dollar lens. Haven't tried a moon shot yet, not one. I got the 3.7x optical zoom, and optical is better than digital zoom. It was a suggestion to buy one. Everything must be still. But I don't think I've used it enough to give a fair assessment. So far I would just save up more money and get a complete lens not a magnifying glass for the front of your lens. I know, it's almost like connecting to a 600mm telescope. I didn't like it at all on my 300mm
I haven't tested on 55mm yet but so far a bust glossy overcast it was cheap didn't expect much but my pictures were fuzzy and so unprofessional. I didn't expect much and that was what I got! photography shop bric and brak.
