This is a modified acrylic two-part adhesive. It says so right on the tube, and the resin reeks of methyl acrylate. I don't know how you could mistake that for acetone. http://henco-glue.cn/en/ecn/M_ViewImage.asp?ProductID=5025 As far as how it performs, it sets rapidly (as the package states). Working time is about a minute. Adding heat accelerates the cure rapidly. I haven't put any of my samples through thorough testing, but I don't imagine they'll have issues. The biggest drawback of the product is the powerful odor. I'm used to solvent and adhesive odors, but this stuff is unpleasantly acrid until it's cured. The mixed resin appears pale yellow, but that may just be because my samples are old. If you want a slower-setting epoxy on ebay, look for the FD4482 (green tubes, marked AAA). This is about a 15-20 minute epoxy of a more familiar type. There are other traditional epoxies on ebay, but that's just the one I'm used to. Regarding adhesion to "plastic": If you don't know what the type of plastic is, then you don't have any reasonable expectations. Plastics such as PP and PE cannot be bonded with methyl methacrylate or most typical epoxies. Plastics which have absorbed oil or moisture (plastics do) will produce weak bonds. Adhesives like MMA and epoxy are often susceptible to impact disbonding on smooth, compliant surfaces too, so keep that in mind. As an aside: In my experience, repairs of plastic parts are usually fruitless simply because the failure was a consequence of a bad part design to begin with. If the virgin part failed to bear its service load, the glued part will almost certainly fail. With that in mind, any attempt at fixing the thing requires replacement or reinforcement.Read full review

This is not epoxy glue. It a glue that based on acetone and dries immediately, don't give any time to work with it.
