Condition:
Used and has tarnish on the blades. But blades are sharp. Original set had 18 Cutters but 4 cutters are missing. Has only 16 cutters and head included. You get the soft case and Allen wrench for inserting cutters into the head.

very useful tool if you need to make up custom mouldings
probably not good for large runs or production, but if you need a few feet of some custom moulding this is the set to use. it is used either on a table saw or a radial arm saw. because it has only one cutter instead of the more common craftsman 3 wing job it is has its pro's and con's... con's = you have to go a bit slower to get a safe and clean cut, however the big "pro" is it uses only one cutter bit to do the job... this means anyone with a little ingenuity, and a bench grinder can custom grind any profile you need! if you have a milling machine or can get access to one to cut the back groove in a piece of high carbon steel you can grind larger/wider profiles than are typical of this type of cutter.... you just have to go slower and take multiple passes. this set has allows me to make 18 century furniture mouldings that would be much more difficult and expensive to get and fund cutters for. i would be remiss if i didn't address safety issues, yes this type of cutter head is inherently more dangerous than a router, so you have to understand how this thing works, and take all necessary precautions to keep fingers or more out of harms way.... this means don't cut profiles on narrow pieces of wood, cut them on wider pieces or wood and then rip saw the part off the wider board to the narrow portion needed. all in all about the most useful tool i have bought for a long time.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
