    TaylorMade P-790's are just really good.

    This irons have a certain amount of forgiveness for a mid to low handicap golfer. Ball flies higher and carries farther. I had a little bit of a problem (early) with turf interaction. I had been playing blades. Now, the turf interaction is not a problem and I have settled into the irons and do not seeing me switch for a while. TaylorMade rolls out new irons and woods like someone who changes their underwear everyday. However, these have been around for a couple of years now and their price has not come down because they are rolling out the new, next best thing. I believe TaylorMade got it right with the P-700 series and TaylorMade knows it. I am building another set with UST graphite shafts to see if I can improve them just a little bit more. I am 60 now and a 2.3 Handicap. I tried the Titleist AP-3 and AP-2's before really settling into these irons. I could see spending the money for the PXG irons. I even did a little custom artwork on the irons to fill in the lines with Red, White and Blue paint pens from Hobby Lobby. Hope this review helps.

    great clubs

    Great clubs for low handicap players. I would caution you to pay attention to the lofts. They are 3 degrees higher that M2 tour and 2 higher than the regular PSI irons. This will have your distances off if you don't know. Simple fix it to have them bent to a lower loft.

    Gained extra yards without changing my swing

    I hit the PSI Pw at the range and surprisingly it got to 160yards. I hit my OLD taylormade mc pw and got only 145 yards. So I decided to try it out on the course. I hit the PSI pw 161 yards effortlessly.
